Jean worked for over thirty years in the state education system at secondary and tertiary levels. She now has a busy private studio teaching at all levels.
Choral conducting has been an important part of Jean\'s life, taking her to many different countries. She has conducted Bel Canto,Burnside High School\'s Girls Choir,Male Voice Choir and Mixed Choir. These choirs have been very succesful nationally and Bel Canto was first equal in the 31st Annual Youth Choral Festival held in Vienna in 2002.
She was vocal tutor for the New Zealand Secondary Students Choir for 10 years and then associate conductor on the Choir\'s tour of Canada in 2000.During 2204 and 2005 Jean was the conductor of the Cecilian Singers. Jean is in demand as an adjudicator and as vocal and choral workshop facilitator.
